Introduction

The Naval Memorial Arch, built in 1912, is a commemorative building located in the center of Westminster in London. It is located between Trafalgar Square and a tree-lined avenue in front of Buckingham Palace, and is a gateway building at the northeast end of the avenue and the southwest corner of Trafalgar Square. Although called a "gate", it is actually a building with the Cabinet Office and the Prime Minister's strategy office housed inside. The four-story gateway has five doors in the lower center section (three for vehicles and two for pedestrians).
