Introduction

The Sherlock Holmes Museum is a popular private museum dedicated to the fictional character Sherlock Holmes created by Arthur Conan Doyle. Located on Baker Street and opened in 1990, it was granted the address of 221B by the City of Westminster. The Georgian-style house used to be a hotel. The first floor of the museum is the shared study and bedroom of Holmes and Dr. Watson, featuring a table with various chemical apparatus and shelves of chemical jars and bottles, which is a memorable scene from the novels. The second floor, originally Dr. Watson's bedroom, now houses wax figures of famous characters from the novels along with the third floor.
