Introduction

In the Valley of the Temples, there is a ruin that covers an area of 112 meters long, 56 meters wide, and 20 meters high, and the most striking feature is the enormous statues. These statues, called Telamoni, were built in 480 BC and were likely damaged during the Carthaginian invasion in 406 BC. Surprisingly, despite being over a thousand years old, the ruin has not been completely destroyed. One of the statues has been restored and is now on display in the archaeological museum.
