Introduction

Hirosaki Castle, also known as Hirosaki-jō or Takaoka Castle, is located in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture, Japan. It is considered one of Japan's 100 famous castles and one of the twelve remaining castles with a main keep. The castle was built in 1611 and features a multi-level, flatland-style design. It served as the residence for the Tsugaru clan during the Edo period. Hirosaki Castle is designated as a National Important Cultural Property and includes various buildings and landscapes such as the main keep, towers, and gates. It is a popular tourist attraction.
