Introduction

In fact, there are not only 12 lakes in the Jūni Ko (Twelve Lakes), but 33 in total. However, it is named as such because locals on the mountain can only see 12 of the lakes. The most famous among them is Aoike (Blue Lake), which reflects beautiful blue-green colors when the sunlight shines upon its waters.
