Sunlight Rock, also known as "Yanzai Mountain" and "Huangyan", is said to have been visited by Zheng Chenggong in 1641. He named it "Sunlight Rock" to praise the beautiful scenery here that surpasses Mount Nikko in Japan. In front of the mountain gate, there are cliff carvings, including "Heavenly Wind and Ocean Waves," "Gulangyu Cave Heaven," and "Lujiang First," each engraved by three people. Among them, the earliest "Gulangyu Cave Heaven" was made by Ding Yizhong, the same official of Quanzhou Prefecture, in the first year of Ming Wanli (1573), and the last "Heavenly Wind and Ocean Waves" was made by the Fujian Patrol Envoy Xu Shiying in the fourth year of the Republic of China (1915).
From this vantage point, you can see all the surrounding islands and sea views. Bring your camera and leave your flying hair and beautiful memories here. Dirección Fujian, Xiamen, Distrito de Siming, Calle Huangyan No.62
