Introduction

The locals refer to the Dutch canals in the Netherlands as the "Hamilton Canal". This canal starts from Puttlam, passes through cities, and flows into the Colombo Port. This canal was manually constructed in the early days to facilitate the transportation of goods to Colombo. Today, it still attracts visitors who come to admire it. Taking a leisurely boat ride and rowing on the canal creates a charming atmosphere reminiscent of Venice.
