Must-visit attractions in Puyang, Henan

Henan Province is located in the northeast of China's Henan Province and is a province at the junction of Hebei, Shandong, and Henan. Puyang, known as Emperor Qiudiu in ancient times, is one of the important birthplaces of ancient Chinese civilization. Central Plains culture has a long history and has produced many talents. Dajuesi Temple in Puyang is the only ancient temple that has existed for a thousand years in Puyang, Henan. The site of Qicheng in the Spring and Autumn Period is also preserved here. Zhongyuan Green Manor

It mainly highlights the 'green' boutique garden landscape, planting more than 400,000 trees and flowers, covering 300,000 square meters of lawn, and excavating more than 50,000 square meters of water surface. Using natural landscape gardening techniques, it plans and constructs more than a dozen special botanical gardens such as Hundred Fruit Garden, Hundred Flower Garden, Metasequoia and Ginkgo Garden, Plum Garden, Bamboo Garden, Magnolia Garden, and Lilac Garden. Qicheng Ruins

Located in Puyang City, Henan Province, central China, the Qicheng Ruins are an important city site of the State of Wei from the late Western Zhou Dynasty to the Spring and Autumn Period, with a history dating back to the 11th century BC to 476 BC. During the Spring and Autumn Period, Qicheng was known as 'Kongcheng' and was an important city of the State of Wei. It is strategically located, bordering the Yellow River to the north, the State of Jin to the south, and the State of Zheng to the west. This strategic importance made it a target in the power struggles among the feudal lords. Additionally, Qicheng was the fiefdom of the Sun family of the State of Wei, whose influence was significant, directly affecting the stability of the Wei regime and the balance of power among the feudal lords. As a result, many historical events are recorded in connection with Qicheng, and Confucius' disciple Zizixu died in a political incident related to Qicheng.
The Zhang Hui Cemetery in the park is circular, with a diameter of 20 meters, a base height of 2.6 meters, and a soil top height of 5 meters. The tomb base is built with stone materials, 8 reinforced concrete structural columns, two ring beams, and a lawn planted on top of the soil ball. An 8-meter-wide circular road is built around the cemetery, with retaining walls made of rubble masonry and the ground paved with bluestone. Flower beds are set up and flowers and trees are planted. 20 meters south of the cemetery is a small square covering an area of 400 square meters, with the south side paved with 8-meter-wide and 12-meter-high bluestone steps.
Maolou Ecological Tourism Area is located in Maolou Village, Xinzhuang Township, Fan County, Puyang City, Henan Province. It is situated at the border of Henan and Shandong provinces, south of the Yellow River and north of the embankment, with beautiful scenery. The scenic area includes tourist attractions such as the Yellow River Corridor, Fishing Center, Natural Bathing Beach, Feitian Ferry, Tingtao Pavilion, Guanlan Pavilion, Zheng Banqiao Memorial Hall, and Happy Garden. It is an ecological tourism area with a strong Yellow River charm.

Puyang City Shijin Garden

Located in Wangzhu Township, Longhua District, Puyang City, it primarily focuses on flower production, engages in flower circulation business, undertakes landscaping projects, and provides external technical training. The scenic area features six major landscapes: a glass greenhouse intelligent growth area, a standard sunlight greenhouse, a plant cloning center, a science corridor, a grape-scented garden, and a rare plant sightseeing area.
