What are some fun places for a summer self-driving tour around Taizhou? Here are four recommended ecological attractions in Taizhou

There are many fun places in Taizhou, with natural eco-friendly driving destinations. Currently, during the summer, many friends enjoy sports and traveling. Summer road trips are comfortable and pleasant, but whenever it involves outdoor activities, everyone should still pay attention to prevent heatstroke and sunburn.

Shepan Island

Shepan Island is located within Sanmen Bay, 19.9 kilometers from the county town, with an area of 17.4 square kilometers. Known as the 'Island of a Thousand Caves,' it boasts over 1,300 large and small caves left by stone quarrying over the ages. The caves are interconnected, with crisscrossing passages, peculiar rock formations, and unique scenery. Inside the caves, it feels like spring all year round, while outside, the shimmering waves and sails create a picturesque view. It is a rare tourist destination and summer resort. The island's aquaculture industry is quite developed, with 8,300 mu of aquaculture area and 12,000 mu of shallow sea mudflats. The island is rich in Shepan stone, which is reddish-brown in color and suitable for carving.

Qiusui Mountain (Qiusui Grand Canyon)

The Qiusui Mountain range originates from the Tiantai Mountain range, stretching across the central part of Sanmen. It is the main mountain range of Sanmen County, with an average elevation of 400 meters. The main peak, Wangxiliang, stands at 882.4 meters, making it the highest mountain in Sanmen. The Qiusui Grand Canyon originates from the eastern foothills of the Qiusui Mountain range. It is a narrow valley extending over ten kilometers and is currently the largest preserved secondary broad-leaved forest in Zhejiang Province.

Wuzi Island

Wuzi Island is located about 40.5 kilometers east of Haiyou Town, Sanmen County. It is situated northwest of Sanmen Island, in the middle of the Sanmen Bay entrance. The island group consists of eight relatively concentrated and closely spaced islands: Qingshidou, Jilongshan, Maotoushan, Xiaotadao, Changkushe, Zhutoushan, Tadaoshan, and Ganshan, as well as seven reefs: Mentou Reef, Baimutian Reef, Aodou Reef, Danijiao Reef, Huangpang Reef, Laifu Reef, and Banqin Reef. The island area extends in a northwest-southeast direction, with the highest point being Tadaoshan at an elevation of 83.7 meters. The island group is approximately 3.5 kilometers long and 2.5 kilometers wide, with a total area of about 0.72 square kilometers. It is named 'Wuzi Island' because it is composed of five larger islands: Tadaoshan, Xiaotadao, Ganshan, Jilongshan, and Qingshidou.

Manshan Island

Manshan is a mysterious small island located at the mouth of Sanmen Bay, 35.3 kilometers northeast of Haiyou Town in the county. The island is composed of volcanic tuff and is lotus-shaped. Due to erosion by sea waves, it has been divided into two parts, east and west, with the west being larger and the east smaller. The total area is 0.4 km², and the highest point is 50.9 meters above sea level. There is a deep channel around the island called the 'Manshan Waterway,' which has been one of the main navigation routes for ships entering and leaving Sanmen Bay since ancient times.
