What are some fun places for a summer self-driving tour around Taizhou? Here are four recommended ecological attractions in Taizhou

There are many fun places in Taizhou, with natural eco-friendly driving destinations. Currently, during the summer, many friends enjoy sports and traveling. Summer road trips are comfortable and pleasant, but whenever it involves outdoor activities, everyone should still pay attention to prevent heatstroke and sunburn.

Snake coiled island

Snake Coiled Island is located in Sanmen Bay, 19.9 kilometers away from the county seat, with an area of 17.4 square kilometers. It is known as the "Island of a Thousand Caves" and has more than 1,300 caves left behind by quarrying throughout the ages. The caves are interwoven, interconnected, with rugged rocks and unique scenery. Inside the caves, it feels like spring all year round, while outside the caves, there are shimmering waves and sailing shadows. It is a rare tourist resort for summer vacation. Aquaculture is well developed on the island, with an aquaculture area of 8,300 mu and a shallow coastal area of 12,000 mu. It is rich in Snake Coiled stone, which has a brownish-red color and is suitable for carving.

Qiao Shui Mountain (Qiao Shui Grand Canyon)

The Qiaohe Mountains originate from the Tiantai Mountains and stretch across the central part of Sanmen. It is the main mountain range of Sanmen County, with an average altitude of 400 meters. The highest peak, Wangxiliang, reaches 882.4 meters, making it the highest mountain range in Sanmen. The Qiaohe Grand Canyon originates from the eastern foot of the Qiaohe Mountains. It is a narrow valley that spans over ten kilometers. It is currently the largest preserved secondary broadleaf forest in Zhejiang Province.

Gogland Island

Wuzi Island is located in Haiyou Town, Sanmen County, about 40.5 kilometers east of the county seat. It is located northwest of Sanmen Island and in the middle of Sanmen Bay. It consists of 8 islands (Qingshidou, Jilongs, Maotou, Xiaotadao, Changkouzui, Zhutoushan, Tadaoshan, Ganshan) and 7 reefs (Mentou, Baimutian, Aodou, Danirao, Huangpang, Laifu, Banqin). The island area is oriented from northwest to southeast, with the highest point being Tadaoshan at an elevation of 83.7 meters. It is approximately 3.5 kilometers long and 2.5 kilometers wide, with a total area of about 0.72 square kilometers. It is called "Wuzi Island" because it is composed of the main island Tadaoshan and the four larger islands - Xiaotadao, Ganshan, Jilongs, and Qingshidou.

Manshan Island

Man Shan is a mysterious small island located 35.3 kilometers northeast of Haiyou Town in the county. The island is formed by volcanic tuff and has a lotus-like shape. Due to wave erosion, it has been divided into two parts, with the west being larger than the east. The total area is 0.4 km2, with the highest point reaching an elevation of 50.9 meters. There is a deep channel waterway surrounding the island called "Man Shan Waterway", which is one of the main navigation channels for ships entering and leaving Sanmen Bay.
