The Shenzhen Shenzhen Airlines International Hotel is located on the south side of the Fushen Highway exit of the Guangshen Highway on Shennan Avenue in Futian District. It is just a stone's throw from the subway interchange station - Che Gong Temple. Shenzhen Wildlife Park is located on the east bank of Xili Lake, surrounded by the beautiful Dapeng Bay to the north, adjacent to Qilin Villa and Shenzhen University Town. It is the first municipal project invested by enterprises and an open zoo that emphasizes on a return to nature. It covers an area of 1.2 square kilometers with a total investment of 250 million RMB. It officially opened on September 28, 1993, making it the first free-range zoo in China that combines animals, forests, plants, science education, and various other features and functions. It has been awarded the honorary title of "Chinese Superlative" by the State Council, further confirming its status among scenic spots and zoos at home and abroad, like a brilliant green pearl in the Greater Bay Area of Shenzhen-Hong Kong.
In response to the major sports event, animals are also eager to participate! In the summer of 2011, Shenzhen Wildlife Park launched a special theme activity called "Animal Olympics"! The entire animal kingdom became a joyful Olympic Village, with nearly ten thousand wild animals competing and cheering for the Shenzhen Universiade! Hundreds of animal athletes from all over the world gathered in the various animal sports venues inside Shenzhen Wildlife Park to showcase their skills and compete for the crown! The "Animal Olympics" in Shenzhen Wildlife Park includes a main venue and four sub-venues, namely the "Beast Kings Arena", "Style Competition Arena", "Aquatic Arena", and "Lion Tiger Beast Training Arena". Various animal sports such as weightlifting, high jump, athletics, swimming, ice skating, boxing, diving, chess, hurdles, basketball, football, volleyball, water polo, and dance are specially performed! In the intense competition, the beauty of animals in sports and the beauty of animal movement are showcased, making it a "unique game with distinctive style"!
