Patong Beach is a public beach located in the middle of the west coast of Phuket Island. It is three kilometers long, requires no entrance fee, and is open to the public 24 hours a day. Due to the natural bay barrier, the waves here are relatively calm and perfect for swimming and beach activities. Patong Beach's unique geographical conditions have made it one of the earliest and most mature beaches in Phuket Island. Here, you can find a large number of hotels, restaurants, bars, and small shops, and enjoy a wonderful holiday. However, the prosperity of Patong Beach also brings commercialization and environmental pollution, and the beach and seawater are some of the most polluted in Phuket.
Choosing to stay in Patong Beach, you can enjoy beach activities such as beach chairs, umbrellas, Thai massages, motor boats, banana boats, and parasailing during the day, and taste seafood stalls, buy souvenirs or spend a beautiful night in a bar at night. If you are interested in Phuket's bar culture, you might as well go to Bangala Road and experience the pedestrian street perpendicular to the beach, enjoy the performances of pole dancing girls and ladyboys, or watch various unique performances. Even if you are not a fan of nightlife, you can stroll through the bar street at night and experience Phuket's unique culture.

Wat Chalong, located in the Chalong area of Phuket, is one of the oldest and most famous temples in Phuket with a history of over 100 years. The temple adopts traditional Thai architectural style and has four main halls: the main hall, the pagoda, the original site of the temple, and the old ancestor hall. The main hall is the most eye-catching building in the temple, where three bronze statues of high monks are enshrined for worshipers to feel the solemn atmosphere of Buddhism. The pagoda is the tallest building in the temple, divided into three floors. The first floor enshrines seven different postures of Buddha statues based on the day of worshipper's birth. The second floor enshrines a white jade Buddha statue, while the third floor enshrines the holy relic of Buddhism: Buddha's ashes, which was given to Thailand by Sri Lanka, and is very precious despite its small size. The original site of the temple is a small wooden house that has been preserved since the temple was built. It enshrines wax statues of the three high monks and some utensils that were used by high monks, and is also the only hall in the temple with air conditioning. There is also a slightly inconspicuous white building near the center of the temple, where Buddha statues and two bronze guardian statues are enshrined, and worshippers can offer incense through small holes in the mouths of the bronze statues. Wat Chalong also offers inexpensive souvenirs for tourists to buy, but some halls are not open to visitors, so please be aware.

Phuket Big Buddha is a majestic statue made of white jade located on the mountaintop opposite the Chalong Temple in the southern part of Phuket Island. It stands 45 meters tall and is 28 meters wide. The road from the base of the mountain to the Big Buddha is quite rugged, so visitors driving by themselves should pay attention to safety. The Big Buddha is not only a place of worship for believers, but also a famous viewpoint overlooking Kata, Karon Beach, and Chalong Bay. If the weather is good, you can even see Phi Phi Island in the distance. There is a temple at the foot of the Big Buddha, where monks recite sutras and pray for good fortune in the morning. You can also have your Buddha statue consecrated here. Travelers can offer a special kind of offering by purchasing a piece of white jade and writing their name and wish on the back of it. This piece of white jade will be used to decorate the surface of the Big Buddha statue. This kind of offering is different from traditional incense donations and has more commemorative significance. The donation price starts from 300 Thai baht. At the temple, you can also purchase Thai consecrated Buddha statues and Phuket herbal ointment, with Buddha statue prices starting from 200 Thai baht and herbal ointment prices at 100 Thai baht per bottle. Because this is a Buddhist temple, visitors should dress appropriately, but the temple provides free shawls and scarves to those who do not meet the dress code. Some small restaurants on the hillside facing the sea offer a pleasant view for visitors to rest, but remember to wear sunscreen as the mountaintop has high altitude and ample sunlight.

Emperor Island is located about 20 kilometers south of Phuket Island. Although there are not many attractions compared to Pipi Island, its beautiful scenery, clear water, abundant marine life, and pristine environment are loved by many Chinese travelers. The water quality around the island is very clear, and you can snorkel directly from the beach into the sea. There is no commercial area on Emperor Island, and the only souvenir shop is in the hotel. Unlike Pipi Island, the waves on the way to Emperor Island are bigger, and it is necessary to take seasickness medicine in advance to be mentally prepared for the bumps. However, the scenery on the island is beautiful, and the boat ride time is not too long, which is very suitable for leisure vacations.
In addition, Emperor Island is also a paradise for deep-sea diving enthusiasts. It provides differentiated diving services for travelers who want to try diving or professional divers who want to obtain dive licenses. There is a Chinese diving institution on the island, which facilitates communication and training. However, due to the limited number of diving instructors, if you need diving services, you must make an appointment in advance. The one-day diving itinerary is roughly divided into three types: Emperor Island speedboat tour with additional diving experience (no need for a diving license, one dive per day); dedicated diving boat to Emperor Island waters for diving (no need for a diving license, two dives per day); staying on Emperor Island and directly scheduling with a diving instructor in the hotel (no need for a diving license, one or two dives). If you need to obtain a license, it will take at least 3-5 days. However, once you obtain a PADI Open Water Diver license, it will be internationally recognized.

Located on the west coast, Kata Beach is adjacent to Karon. From Patong, taking a tuk-tuk only takes 15 minutes and costs about 450 baht. Among the three main beaches, Kata Beach is the most suitable for swimming. Although the beach is not very long, the sand is soft and the waves are very mild. There are rocks at both ends of the beach, making it a good place for taking pictures. There are many European and American tourists on the beach, laying lazily on beach chairs all day long. The whole Kata area is mainly for European and American tourists, presenting a seaside town flavor. The restaurants here mainly serve western food to cater to the tourists' taste. Although there are also cafes and bars on Kata Beach, it is not as lively as Patong. The overall prices for food and shopping are higher than those in Patong and Karon.
