Cuzco Cathedral, A Blend of Renaissance Grandeur and Andean Spirit
Plaza de Armas s n, Plateros, Cusco

Introduction
The Cusco Cathedral was built in 1550 and is one of the earliest cathedrals in the Cusco region. It is also a typical example of colonial rulers promoting Catholicism to the local indigenous people. Spanish rulers brought many large stones from Sacsayhuaman as building materials when constructing the cathedral. In the past 400 years, the cathedral has been damaged to varying degrees in four major earthquakes, but it has survived. The cathedral contains many oil paintings and exquisite decorations, the most distinctive of which is the Andean version of "The Last Supper." Unlike the original by Leonardo da Vinci, the plate in front of Jesus contains a roasted guinea pig. Address Plaza de Armas s n, Plateros, Cusco
