Introduction

Brisbane City Hall, located in the center of Brisbane, was first constructed in 1930. The city hall was closed for three years starting in January 2010 for reconstruction. The building of the city hall is tall, and its clock tower was once the largest and most expensive building in Australia, until the completion of the Sydney Opera House in 1971. Prior to 1973, the city hall was the tallest building in Brisbane.
