Introduction

In 1928, the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in Australia became the first established koala sanctuary, with a motto of "The earth is not just for humans", emphasizing the idea of harmonious coexistence with nature and animal protection. Located in the suburbs of Brisbane, it is one of the largest koala zoos in Australia, attracting many visitors with its natural environment. Queensland and South Australia are the only two regions where visitors can hold koalas for photos, which is one of the must-try experiences at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. The Sanctuary is located by the river, just a 35-minute drive from the city center. Visitors can see more than 130 kinds of koalas, as well as kangaroos, wombats, and wallabies. Many tourists are willing to pay AUD 16 to hug a koala and take a photo with it. In this semi-open wildlife park, visitors can also see over 80 unique Australian animals such as echidnas, wombats, and kangaroos. The souvenir shop offers animal feed, and travelers can feed these cute animals, while colorful birds fly to their hands to enjoy the food. There are many activities to participate in, such as watching sheepdog shows, taking close-up photos with snakes and crocodiles, and feeding parrots and kangaroos. Holding a koala for a close-up photo is one of the most popular activities among visitors. To take a koala-hugging photo, visitors need to pay AUD 18 and can use their own phone or camera for a souvenir photo after payment.
