Introduction
As one of the tallest buildings in the world, the Grand Canyon Glass Bridge (also known as the West Rim) is constructed by Chinese designers and took 10 years and $30 million to build, suspended over 1,000 meters above the edge of the Grand Canyon. The construction of the "Skywalk" is unprecedented in size, and given the unique terrain and climate conditions of the Grand Canyon, safety was a top priority. The bridge weighs 2 million pounds and uses 10-centimeter-thick reinforced glass, along with a damping system and 94 steel columns inserted into the bridge piers, making it able to withstand winds exceeding 200 kilometers per hour, an earthquake of magnitude 8 within a radius of 80 kilometers, and a weight equivalent to that of 20,000 people or 70 Boeing 747 airliners. As one of the most popular attractions for local one-day tour groups in Las Vegas, visitors can walk on the horseshoe-shaped glass bridge and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Grand Canyon and the Colorado River. This experience makes visitors feel like they are walking in the sky and allows them to feel an extraordinary freedom. Address Grand Canyon Skywalk, Mohave County, AZ, USA
