The history of the park can be traced back to 1919, when it was the private estate of the American railroad tycoon Henry Huntington, and the art gallery was his residence during his lifetime. In 1928, Huntington donated the entire park to the US government and officially opened it to the public. Today, Huntington Park has become a famous cultural and natural tourist attraction in Los Angeles.
