Introduction
The Cathedral, located in the center of this small town, is one of the most magnificent buildings in the area. Its vast area sits on a lush green lawn. The history of the Cathedral can be traced back to 1220, when Salisbury City was officially founded. The entire Cathedral is made of silver-grey striped stones, with towering spires that are stately and beautiful. The stone came from a quarry 20 kilometers away, and it is estimated that the entire Cathedral used 60,000 tons of stone. In the Middle Ages, many Cathedral constructions were "whisker" projects that lasted for several hundred years, but the main project of this Cathedral only took 38 years, and the structural artistic style is completely consistent - the early Gothic style with a heavy structure, which is very rare in British architectural history.
