Introduction

Clyde's recent development is the impressive new museum in the west of Glasgow Harbour, designed by the Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid. It officially opened in June this year showcasing a variety of architectural styles and exhibits. There are three reconstructed historical streets of Glasgow, a decorative display showing maritime heritage, and exhibits from the transportation museum of Scottish cars, oxidised railway parts, trains, bicycles and model ships that let you take a close look. The magnificent three-storey Glenlee tall ship, built in 1896, is moored here and you can even board it and play captain. Also, every Wednesday at 11:30am, you can join a free tour to learn about the story behind this giant vessel.
