Kylemore Abbey, located on the west coast of Ireland, is a Gothic castle built in the 19th century, including a six-acre Victorian garden. Kylemore derives from the Irish language "Coille Móire," meaning "big forest." The castle was originally owned by Mitchell Henry, a businessman from Manchester, England, who chose to build his own castle here because his wife was from the west coast of Ireland.
