Introduction
The University of Edinburgh was founded in 1964 as a modern higher education institution located in the Edinburgh area of Scotland. In 1992, the university gained university status and was named after mathematician John Napier. Currently, the university has over 17,000 students from more than 100 countries and regions, including 5,000 international students. Schools including the Business School, Health and Life Sciences School, Social Sciences School, Engineering and Computer Science School are located in multiple campuses, with the main campus at Moray House, Craiglockhart, Craighouse and Sighthill, respectively located in Edinburgh.
