Introduction

In 1859, the Scottish National Gallery opened its doors to visitors. This museum houses many selected masterpieces from European art, covering the period from the Renaissance to the end of the 19th century. Here you can see works by many masters such as Titian, Van Gogh, Raphael, and Monet, as well as discover many fine Scottish works of art. The Scottish National Gallery ranks first among Scottish art museums and attracts over a million visitors each year.

Transportation
Walk westward for 10 minutes along Princes Street from Edinburgh Waverley Train Station, and you will reach two art museum buildings on the left after passing through Princes Street Garden. Alternatively, take any bus that stops at Princes Street station and follow the same walking instructions to reach the art museum.
