Introduction

The National Museum of Scotland was created in 2006 through the merger of the Scottish Museum and the Royal Scottish Museum. It showcases a diverse range of collections, from dinosaur fossils to chess sets, mummies, and cars, exploring the diversity of Scotland and the world in terms of nature, culture, industry, science, and design. Each floor offers a creatively designed world waiting to be discovered. With its unique and innovative display methods, the museum has won international awards. One of its famous collections is the specimen of the cloned sheep Dolly. Upon entering the museum, visitors can get a free collection map at the information desk on the basement level, including Chinese, which is helpful for those who want to quickly understand the museum structure and famous collections. Additionally, we highly recommend taking the elevator to the top of the seventh floor to overlook the beautiful scenery of Edinburgh City and Castle.
