Introduction

Vernazza Port is located in the south of Italy, it's a quaint small town that retains the architectural style of the Middle Ages. It has a bright sunshine, natural ecology, and harmonious humanistic environment. In 1997, Vernazza Port was selected for inclusion in the World Heritage list according to the cultural heritage selection criteria C (ii) (iv) (v). The city is located between the mainland and the Palmaria Island, it is an important military, economic stronghold and transportation hub with a significant geographical location. In Vernazza Port, modern and medieval architecture are intertwined, and multilayer narrow houses were used as defensive facilities when resisting robbers. The Church of San Lorenzo was built in 1131 and was used as a fortress, where you can perfectly view the Kararala Mountain. Vernazza Port, the five fishing villages, and numerous coastal islands are like a string of brilliant pearls scattered on the Ligurian coast. Its beautiful scenery and historical landscapes attract tourists from all around the world to visit.
