Introduction
Castello Square in Turin is the main square in the city center, built in the 13th century on the site of ancient Roman ruins. The buildings on the square blend both Baroque and medieval styles, and since the 14th century, it has been a symbol of royal power for the Savoy Parliament. Many museums, theaters, and cafes are located here, and there are also other important buildings nearby, such as the Royal Palace and the Palazzo Madama. Castle Square is the intersection of Turin's four main streets: Via Garibaldi (a pedestrian street), Via Po, Via Roma, and Via Pietro Micca. On weekends, many street performers gather here to perform, and there are also open-air concerts and other cultural activities. Address Piazza Castello 10124, 10124 Turin, Italy
