Introduction

The town of Montalcino, located in the Orcia Mountains, is a prosperous place near the Republic of Siena, and was once a castle with a combination of Romanesque and Gothic styles. Nowadays, the town is famous for its world-renowned red wine, Brunello, and you can visit the largest wine cellar in Europe, which maintains a constant temperature of 15 degrees Celsius and contains various sizes and shapes of wooden barrels and winemaking tools. In the second and third weeks of July each year, a Jazz & Wine Festival is held here, so don't miss this great opportunity if you enjoy wine and jazz music!
