Introduction

The Conservatory Gallery is a part of the Capitoline Museums, located on the right side of the Campidoglio Square opposite the New Palace. It is one of the world's oldest art museums, founded in 1471. On the first floor, in addition to a statue of Emperor Constantine the Great, there are collections of ancient artifacts such as stone coffins. The second floor showcases bronze statues from the Hellenistic period of Iaderalium. On the third floor, the Painting Gallery houses works of outstanding artists from the Renaissance period including Titian, the Baroque painter Caravaggio, and Rubens.

Closed on Mondays, 12/25, 1/1, and 5/1.
Transportation
Take bus no. 46, 60, 80B, 190F, 780, 916, 916F and get off at Piazza Venezia. Then walk towards Capitoline Hill for about 6 minutes to reach your destination.
