Introduction
The Borghese Gallery was once the villa of Cardinal Scipione Borghese, a patron of Bernini and a renowned art collector. The gallery houses numerous works by Bernini, including the famous Apollo and Daphne, The Rape of Proserpina, and David, which was modeled by Borghese himself. In addition, the gallery also contains works by masters such as Raphael.
To visit the gallery, reservations must be made online or by telephone one day in advance. Here, visitors can not only enjoy many art treasures, but also stroll through the gardens of the Borghese Gallery, which are large and beautiful.
Among the gallery's collection, there are many captivating masterpieces that will leave visitors awe-struck. On the second floor of the painting collection, visitors can admire Raphael's The Deposition, Titian's Sacred and Profane Love, and Caravaggio's Judith Beheading Holofernes. These works are all excellent and well worth seeing.
