Introduction

Cadiz is one of the oldest cities in Spanish history, with many historical buildings preserved in the old town. The most famous of these are the cathedral built in 1260, the grand theater built in 1871, and the city hall built since 1799. Although the cathedral and theater were once burned, they still retain their historical significance. In addition, another must-visit place in the old town is Torre Tavira, which was once the place where merchants watched ships coming into port. Standing on this tower, one can't help but imagine if Columbus had also watched ships sail away from here.
