Introduction

Urgull Mountain, located in the city center peninsula of San Sebastian, Basque Country, Spain, stands at 123 meters high. As early as the establishment of the city in the 12th century, this mountain served as a military defense fortress. At the summit stands the Mota Castle, which includes a small chapel and a 12-meter-long Jesus statue (1950), overlooking the bay and possessing immense historical and cultural value.
