Introduction
The Cartuja Monastery of Granada, located in Spain, is a Baroque monastery built in 1506 and is considered one of Spain's most representative buildings. The monastery took 300 years to build, has a simple and mild exterior, and an extremely luxurious interior decoration. The most remarkable features are the Tent designed by Francisco Hurtado Izquierdo, the church built between 1727 and 1764 by Luis Arévalo and F. Manuel Vásquez, and the famous Reliquary. The monastery houses numerous valuable paintings, among which the works of Juan Sánchez Cotán are particularly outstanding. Opening hours 10:00-13:00 & 16:00-20:00
