Introduction
The Holy Mountain is located to the east of Granada and adjacent to the Albaicin district. In the 16th century, holy relics and lead books were discovered here, hence the name Holy Mountain. The relics are now preserved in the Holy Mountain Monastery. Meanwhile, in the 15th century, gypsies from India arrived in Spain and then wandered around Europe and Africa. In the 19th century, they began digging caves on the slopes of the Holy Mountain and building homes, gradually forming a traditional gypsy community. Transportation Most of the attractions on the Sacred Mountain can be reached by taking bus route C34.
