Introduction

The University of Seville is the third-ranked institution of higher education in Spain, with a long history. The buildings of its faculties of law, science, and literature were originally the first cigarette factory in Europe, built in 1950, and one of the most luxurious industrial buildings of the old Spanish regime. Here, the story of "Carmen" once occurred. The cigarette factory was built in the early 18th century, and was one of the largest and finest constructions in Spain, second only to the Escorial Monastery, and could be called the second largest public building in Spain. The biggest feature of the front hall and courtyard was the air flow, and the magnificent main facade presented the influence of Baroque style.
