Introduction

The Giraldillo is one of the iconic buildings in Seville, and its height of 97.5 meters can be seen from anywhere. The tower was built by the Amohad family in the late 12th century with a distinct Islamic style and has 28 bells at the top. The beautiful sounds of these bells still provide accurate time signals to local residents. From the viewpoint at 70 meters high, visitors can overlook the magnificent view of Seville. In addition, there is a statue called El Giraldillo at the top of the tower, representing the symbol of faith. The vertical staircase has been replaced with a slope, which is convenient for the muezzin and others to ride horses up and down the tower.
