Introduction

The former home stadium of Atletico Madrid football club, the Vicente Calderon Stadium, has been in use since 1966 and has brought countless victories to the team. However, with the end of the 2016-2017 season, the stadium has officially reached its historic moment - bidding farewell to the stage. On September 30, 2017, the stadium opened its doors and welcomed fans to share the last moment of separation together. Following that, the stadium will undergo a large-scale renovation as planned and become Atletico Madrid Park, bringing joy and vitality to more people.

Transportation
Take metro Line 5 (light green) and get off at Piramides station. Exit through the Estadio Vicente Calderon entrance and continue forward. Turn right at the first intersection and continue walking. After crossing two streets, you will see the stadium. It takes about 10 minutes. Alternatively, take bus 50 from the Sol Square/Madrid Regional Government Building to Calle de Carretas street corner and get off at the P Melancolicos - Pte.San Isidro stop. Walk forward for about 5 minutes.
