Introduction

Rumeli Fortress, also known as the European Fortress, was built in 1452 and is an important military building of Sultan Mehmed. It took 4 months to complete and is located at the narrowest point of the Bosphorus Strait, which was of great strategic importance at the time. Today, Rumeli Fortress has been transformed into a museum displaying the weaponry and equipment of the time. It is worth mentioning that the scenery on the walls is breathtaking, especially the view of the Bosphorus Strait, which is enchanting.
