Introduction

Trondheim Cathedral was established in 1103 and became the residence of the archbishop, making Trondheim the center of Christianity in Northern Europe. It is the earliest Romanesque building in the Scandinavian region, with a history of nearly a thousand years. For centuries, Trondheim has been the most important religious city in Denmark and the residence of the Archbishop of Christianity in the entire Scandinavian region. Compared to some of the magnificent churches in Italy and France, the interior decoration of Trondheim Cathedral is quite simple, showing the rugged and majestic feeling of the northern land. The exquisite niches on the altar were made in the late 16th century, and the carved bishop chairs are also breathtaking. In addition, the astronomical clock built in the 15th century is also a must-visit attraction. Every day at noon and 3 pm, the clock strikes the Christmas Carol, and then the three wise men come out of the clock to introduce the Virgin Mary and Jesus. There is also a mysterious legend about the construction of the cathedral, which is related to the giant Finn. If you visit Trondheim Cathedral, be sure not to miss the opportunity to visit Finn's tomb.
