The top Michelin restaurants in Copenhagen

Denmark is not only the culinary capital of Scandinavia, with 21 Michelin-starred restaurants receiving a total of 26 Michelin stars, but also gradually becoming the world's gastronomic capital with the unique cuisine of Copenhagen. In 2015, Michelin published a dedicated Nordic cuisine guide, which has led to more Danish restaurants joining the ranks of Michelin-starred establishments. In 2016, we welcomed six new members! Geranium restaurant

Geranium restaurant is one of the two Michelin-starred restaurants in Copenhagen. In 2013, it was ranked the 45th best restaurant in the world by Fine Dining Lovers magazine. The restaurant is operated by Rasmus Kofoed, the best chef in the world in 2011. Geranium restaurant is known for its simplicity, transparency, and vitality. It aims to incorporate all senses into the dining experience, focus on taste, challenge innovation, and enrich gastronomy.

Noma restaurant

Noma Restaurant was awarded as the best restaurant in the world by Fine Dining Lovers in 2010, 2011, and 2012. In 2013, it ranked second in the world and received two stars in the 2014 Michelin Guide. Chef René Redzepi specializes in Scandinavian cuisine, sourcing ingredients from Iceland, the Faroe Islands, Greenland, and Denmark.

Kong Hans Kælder Restaurant

For the past 40 years, Kong Hans Kælder, a Michelin-starred restaurant, has become a symbol of Copenhagen cuisine. In 1983, Kong Hans Kælder became the first restaurant in Copenhagen to receive a Michelin star. Today, Kong Hans Kælder is known as one of the representative restaurants that offer high-end dining experiences and casual enjoyment. Classic French cuisine: Kong Hans Kælder also serves classic French dishes. Their ingredients are sourced from different places, and the restaurant's philosophy is to maximize the authenticity of the ingredients.

The Standard restaurant

Claus Meyer from noma restaurant, Meyers Madhus, and jazz musician Niels Lan Doky have opened a combined restaurant and jazz music venue. You can enjoy soothing jazz music while tasting Nordic and Indian cuisine. The Custom House, which is no longer in use, could accommodate 3 or more restaurants, 2 bars, and a jazz music bar.

Era Ora Restaurant

Era Ora restaurant has received a Michelin star and offers the best cuisine from northern Italy. Fresh ingredients are air-flown from Italy, and all dishes are made according to long-standing traditional craftsmanship. The wines are top-quality Italian wines produced by renowned winemakers. The cellar houses 75,000 bottles of wine from almost 700 brands. Top Italian restaurant critics unanimously consider Era Ora restaurant to be the best Italian cuisine restaurant outside of Italy.

AOC restaurant

The AOC restaurant has been awarded one Michelin star and is located in the central area of Copenhagen. It used to be a basement. Their aim is to provide the ultimate sensory experience by stimulating as many senses as possible - sight, smell, sound, and taste. The cuisine primarily uses Nordic ingredients, and the chefs focus on pure flavors. The restaurant offers 4-7 course tasting menus. You can also experience their "sensory experience night" where everything is included in the menu.

Relæ restaurant

Relæ restaurant is located in the Nørrebro district of Copenhagen and is famous for providing an authentic dining experience. It has one Michelin star and was ranked 56th in the world's best restaurants in 2013. Unbound by cultural heritage, Relæ restaurant offers creative cuisine driven by the motivation of traditional Michelin star restaurants. It is not just an ordinary restaurant or a beer house and tavern that serves food.

Marchal Restaurant

Marchal is located in the heart of Copenhagen, where you can experience the satisfaction brought by delicious cuisine.
