Introduction

Trädgårdsföreningen park next to the urban canal in the center of Gothenburg is a popular summer gathering place, offering concerts and performances. The Palm House and the cultivation of tropical and Mediterranean plants in the park are particularly popular. The Rose Garden has up to 4,000 different types of roses. The Gothenburg Botanical Garden is open to visitors all year round, while the Gothenburg Garden Association park is one of the best preserved 19th century parks, located on the right side of the city center. There are also thousands of beautiful flowers, including the Rose Garden with a mix of traditional and modern elements. The large Palm House, built in 1878 and modeled after the Crystal Palace in London, can place foreign plants in a warm Mediterranean climate.
