Introduction
The King's Hall is located in the Bergenhus Fortress in Bergen, Norway. It is a medieval stone hall built in the 13th century during the reign of King Håkon Håkonsson. The hall is the largest surviving medieval building in Norway, and has been used for important events such as the crowning and wedding of kings. It is built in Gothic style with a cellar and mezzanine, and the use of stone was uncommon at the time of construction. It is speculated that the hall was built by a designer employed by King Henry III of England. The hall was abandoned in the 19th century, but was restored and reopened to the public in the 1950s. Today, the hall is managed by the Bergen Museum and is used for important events such as concerts and official dinners. Address Bergenhus Fortress PO Box 4052 5835 Bergen
