Eagle Road (Ørnevegen) is a section of Highway 63 located between Geiranger and Eidsdal, known for its 11 consecutive hairpin bends. The name Eagle Road comes from the fact that eagles often gather near the highest point of the hairpin bends, called Eagle's Wing (Ørnesvingen, 620 meters), a few days before the road opens each year. Eagle Road is open year-round, while other sections of the Scenic Route are only accessible from May to October. The route features several architecturally unique viewpoints (such as Flydalsjuvet, Ørnesvingen, Gudbrandsjuvet) that offer excellent views of the fjords.
