Introduction

Turku Castle is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Turku. This ancient castle was built in 1280 and took 280 years to construct. The Renaissance-style New Castle was built between 1574-1588 with the interior consisting of the King and Queen's Halls. At that time, Turku was a territory of Sweden and 14 Swedish kings used it as a palace. However, during World War II, the castle was damaged. After restoration, the New Castle was turned into the Turku Cultural History Museum, showcasing treasures such as coins and badges from the 18th to 20th centuries. Now, it has become a historical museum, attracting many tourists to visit.
