Introduction

The Finnish Presidential Palace, built in 1820, was originally constructed by the Russian Tsar. Since Finland's independence, it has served as the official residence and office of the President of the Republic of Finland. After several renovations, the palace is currently undergoing major renovations in 2014 and its interior is not open to the public for tours.
