Introduction

The Finlandia Fortress is one of the outstanding buildings that the Finns are proud of. As a small country, the glory of having the world's largest sea fortress naturally brings a sense of pride. The building was constructed about 250 years ago and has now been listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The Finlandia Fortress was built by the Swedes to resist the Russian invasion, but now it has shed its military nature and the island has many churches, museums, restaurants, and small shops, making it a good place for leisure shopping.

Transportation

Take tram line 2 to Kauppatori station, then take a ferry from the Kauppatori pier near the outdoor market to reach Suomenlinna. In summer, you can also take the water bus from JT-Line company.
