Introduction
Château de Chantilly is located 60 kilometers north of Paris and is a collection of ancient buildings and monuments built by families from the sixteenth and nineteenth centuries, including a small castle and a large castle. The small castle was built by Jean Bullant for the then military commander, Anne de Montmorency, and was once inhabited by Duke de Guise. After the destruction of the large castle during the French Revolution, Henri d'Orléans, Duke of Aumale, rebuilt it on the basis of the 14th-century Ochemont fortress. It is now the home of the Condé Museum and a collection of ancient paintings. The French, English, and pond gardens outside the castle are intertwined, and were designed by Le Nôtre. Château de Chantilly is one of the earliest museums of ancient paintings and has a rich collection that attracts many visitors. Address 7 Rue du Connétable F 60500 Chantilly
