Cathédrale Saint-Sauveur, A Blend of Centuries in Architecture
rue Laroque, Aix en Provence
4.1
Introduction
The church was built between 1285-1350, showing a fusion of various architectural styles due to its long construction period. The central square of the Cathedral of St. Zorzale adopts the Romanesque architecture of the 12th century, while the small chapel was added in the 14th to 15th centuries. In the semi-circular apse, there is also a sarcophagus from the 5th century. The organ inside the church is in the gilded Baroque style of the 18th century. Address rue Laroque, Aix en Provence
