Introduction

Located in the 7th arrondissement of Paris, Champ-de-Mars is a spacious linear park named after the Roman god of war. Prior to the second half of the 18th century, this area was considered wasteland until the establishment of a military school in 1765, which gave it an upgrade. Initially, its primary purpose was as a military training ground. Since the 19th century, Champ-de-Mars has been used several times as an exhibition venue for world expositions and hosted the 1900 Olympic Games as the main venue for France.
