Introduction

Novosibirsk Main Railway Station is the largest railway station in Novosibirsk Oblast and an iconic building in the city. The city is located on the Trans-Siberian Main Line and has developed slowly with the construction of the Trans-Siberian Railway. Initially, it was just a station located at the intersection of the main railway line and the Ob River. In 1926, the station was renamed Novosibirsk. In 1931, large-scale construction began and took 8 years to complete, finally finished in 1939.
