Introduction

The Saint Robes Monastery in Goroz is one of the oldest monasteries, established in 1207 and located in the northern part of the city of Suzdal. It was already well-known before being invaded by the Mongols in 1238. Although the original wooden structure no longer exists, the buildings from the 16th to 19th century are still preserved. The bell tower of the monastery reaches a height of 72 meters, and the yellow and white alternating bell tower is also one of the tallest buildings in Suzdal.
