Introduction

The two must-visit museums in St. Petersburg are the Hermitage Museum and the Russian National Museum. The Hermitage Museum is located in the Winter Palace, while the Russian National Museum is located in the Mikhailovsky Palace. Established in 1895, it is the oldest museum in Russian history, with exhibits ranging from the 10th century to contemporary Russian art. The museum is most famous for its collection of paintings by Repin, including world-renowned works such as "Barge Haulers on the Volga" and "The Meeting of the State Council". The entrance is not at the main gate where the two lion statues are, but through a small door to the right of the gate. The museum also provides a "Ru Guide" mobile application that offers relevant text and audio information. In addition, the museum has two branches: the Marble Palace and the Mikhailovsky Castle. However, if time is limited, visitors can just visit the main museum, as there are many other museums and attractions in St. Petersburg waiting to be discovered.

Saint Petersburg (Russian: Санкт-Петербург), established in 1703 on the marshland at the deepest point of the Gulf of Finland, showcases Peter the Great's ambition in its architectural style and natural landscapes. In the past 300 years, the city has undergone several name changes, from Leningrad to Petrograd, and now Saint Petersburg. Its fate has also been tumultuous, including experiencing the White Terror, enduring a 900-day siege, and witnessing the heroic defense during the Great Patriotic War. Its brilliance has never been overshadowed by gunfire or bloodshed. After protection and reconstruction, it remains "open, inclusive, and romantic"
