Introduction
In 1872, the National Historical Museum was completed, and it has collected over 4.5 million historical artifacts to date, making it the largest symbol of Russia's historical culture. The museum's building is in the classical style with red brick and a silver dome, and the Russian national emblem - the double-headed eagle - is embedded in a small tower on the top, becoming the museum's symbol. The museum has collected political, military history, and daily items from various periods within Russia from the beginning of human existence to the late 19th century. The first floor displays artifacts from the pre-empire period, while the second floor showcases artifacts from the empire (St. Petersburg) period. The interior decoration of the museum is also exquisite, especially the decorations in each room on the first floor, which imitate the corresponding artistic styles of the historical periods. However, the museum's building and signage have become outdated, and the indoor temperature is cold in winter. Most of the exhibits are only labeled in Russian, so a major renovation may be carried out in the near future. Opening hours September 1st to May 31st:
